On Thursday this week you will start to prepare for the Gallbladder and Liver Cleanse on Saturday.

It is recommended to have a colon hydrotherapy treatment  prior (and after if you can manage it) to prepare your digestive system and clear your colon.  Through our experience this treatment is a wonderful complement to the detox program and enhances the results for your body.

Here is some useful information about Colon Hydrotherapy:

Colon hydrotherapy offers two main benefits.

• to reshape the colon by clearing waste trapped in pockets / balloons of the colon
• to exercise the muscle of the colon to improve and regulate its function

A clear colon with good muscle function is important in maintaining:

• a healthy colon
• easy, regular bowel movements
• bowel comfort without disturbance, discomfort or bloating

Amanda Spring is a professionally trained therapist and a member of the UK Guild of Colon Hydrotherapy . Amanda had been helping people for more than 10 years to restore colon health. 

How does the treatment work?

You will be asked to roll on to your left side and bring your knees up towards your chest.

A small single lubricated nozzle (called a speculum) is introduced into the anus.  This will feel a little strange the first time.

Amanda will connect the tubing to the speculum.  One tube carries water from the tank via the speculum into the colon.  The other takes water and waste from the colon via the speculum into the drains.

You will stay on your left side whilst warm filtered water is gently introduced into the colon.

Water will either:

• FILL the colon (water enters but does not exit), which you can feel as gentle pressure particularly around the anus.
• EMPTY from the colon (water exits only)
• FLUSH out the colon (water enters and exits at the same time)

Amanda will be with you throughout the treatment guiding you through it.

How long does a treatment take?

Approximately 1 hour.
